ESI performs detailed fatigue life evaluation following the methods and criteria of ASME Section VIII Division 2 Mandatory Appendix 5. Peak stresses are predicted using refined 2D or 3D finite element models. If necessary, to account for manufacturing and inspection processes, the fatigue strength reduction factors of WRC-432 are applied. Components can be optimized to produce maximum fatigue life.
