Steady state or transient heat transfer analyses can be performed using 2D, 2D-axisymmetric, or full 3D finite element models. Thermal loads may include any combination of conduction, convection and radiation modes of heat transfer. All loads may be input with their own material and temperature dependance.

Special macros have been written to calculate external convection coefficients according to the methods of ASTM-C680, which accounts for ambient temperature, wind speed, orientation, and emmisivity.
